"Our fear is not that we are inadequate, but that we are powerful beyond all measure"
That is a quote from the movie Coach Carter, which is a great movie. I watched it this weekend, and really enjoyed it. If we live in relationship with God, than we can access that power, to do good.
This weekend was alright, no real highlights. I saw some friends, went to church, dropped my mom and her boyfriend off at the airport. They flew off to Europe yesterday, and that means I have the house and the car for three weeks. Partay-only not really.
Today as I got in to work, I went in to the break room, and put my sack lunch in the refrigerator, and as usual there is a copy of todays news paper on the table. So I looked at it, and on the front page was an article that had a picture of Rumsfeld, and how they think this war could take up to twelve more years. Good Lord!! I hope not, I would be out of school, and there would for sure be a draft if it went that long. I think we should be making plans to exit out of there before this year is over, and execute those plans with in the next two.
I cannot in and of myself change anything, but I can have hope. Don't get me wrong, I think we should support our troops, I could not imagine being over there, and having to kill other people, I dont' think I could do it, especially not civilians. How then should we support our troops? Bring them all home now!! Home to their families, and friends who love them. Not risk there lives each minute of each day over something which is not a direct threat.
Please leave comments, and if you disagree, that is fine, but try express that kindly, and don't just bash me.
