Hey all,
This past weekend was great. I went out to my families lake cabin on friday night, and got to see my cousins who flew up from Salt Lake City, Utah (no they are not mormans). The weather was perfect-mid 90's all weekend. So I did a lot of swimming, and tanning.
It is so cool to see my cousins, one of them, Amy, is only 6 months older than I am, and even though we don't see each other all that often, we are close, and when we do see each other it is like we never left.
On Saturday morning, we took a sail across the lake. The wind was decent, and even a bit strong for a few minutes, and when we turned around, we decided it was getting pretty warm (being 11 am) and we should go back to the cabin rather than tac across the lake again. Then half way back across the lake, the wind just died. My grandfather and I had to row the sailboat all the way back to the dock. Needless to say I was sweating profusley, and ready for a swim by the time we got back, since the boat with the five of us in it wieghs close to 3500 pounds!!
The weekend was great, and I got to do one of my favorite things in the whole world. I slept out on the dock two nights in a row. It is so great out there, the water gently rocking me to sleep, and staying up until 2 or 3 am talking with my cousin, or friends about life. Looking up at the stars, and counting all the shooting stars. I saw about 20 each night, a few big ones. It is so fun, because their are no lights to hinder the viewing, nor trees (being out on the dock on the water). Then waking up at about 6:30 or 7:00 am to the sun behind me, and a gentle warm breeze on my face. AHHH, my perfect alarm that I would wake to each day if I could.
Yep, life is good right now, and in a four short days I get to go to one of my favorite places, Calvin Crest, and see some great friends, eat some great food, and hopefully go for ride through the woods. Laters all.
