About this day.....

So, I don't have any problem with Valentine's day, however I have noticed a few things around campus today.
First, of course lots of people holding hands, and showing affection. That is something to be expected today.
Secondly, I have noticed signs and people mentioning that today is singles awareness day. I have one thing to say to that, at least from my experience here at Whitworth. Singles awareness day is everyday!! Anyone who has consistently been reading my blog would by now know that is how I feel. I can never walk across campus, or down the hall, or anywhere with out running into a couple, usually displaying a fair amount of affection. I understand that is just a part of dating, for most people.
So, if you are alone today, as am I, don't fret, or feel bad. Just try and make the most of your day, and get out and do something fun, and active. If you are out being physically active, it is less likely that you will ponder relationships and why you don't have one. Just my own experience. Maybe even take a few moments and just get away from couples, if you need to-just go for a walk, or throw on the headphones and listen to some music.
Don't take this post to mean that I am bitter, or jealous of others. I simply thought I would tell you that I think most everyday (at least here at Whitworth) is singles awareness day.
