A short but great weekend.....

This past weekend I was in Rome, Georgia meeting the staff that I will be working at Camp Brackenhurst with. This is a camp in Limuru, Kenya. The weekend was great, I met a lot of cool people, and got more stoaked about this upcoming summer. Going in to the weekend, I was a little nervous because most of the staff I will be working with are from the south (Georgia, Texas, Alabama, Lousianna, and Missourri). I have never really spent time with people from the south, nor have I ever been to the south. So this was a totally new experience for me. I only had stereotypes, and thought that I would have little if anything in common with these people. However I was glad to be proven wrong. I had a great weekend, and now am more excited than before to be going to Kenya this summer.
The people I met are all cool, and we all bring differences to the table that will enable us all to minister to different people, however as a staff body, we do have things in common, and we seem to be fairly unified already (after only two days together).
I also had some questions concerning camp answered. I will be leaving May 20th, and arriving back in Spokane on August 6th. But before I can leave, I have a lot of money to raise, and shots to take. I also have to finish out the semester of school.
Blessings and peace.
