Crazy times....

This past weekend has been great for me. I have been busy with the car-putting a new cd player into it, and going out to school almost everyday to see friends of mine that are back on campus already. My room mate is already in our room, so I went out last night and saw him, and moved in my stereo and speakers (early- so don't tell housing). It will be awesome, we have 6 speakers between the two of us to hook-up to use for watching videos, listening to music- and we can arrange it to be like surround sound- I just need to buy a little bit more speaker wire. Our room will be the movie room on our hall. We arranged all the furniture in the room the way we want it, bunked the beds, and put all the dressers/closets/desks around the edge of the room, and the tv next to the window. We left a space by the wall across from the tv to put a couch, also I will take out a 8' x 10' area rug both of these are given to us by my mom. It helps her because it is less for her to move out this fall if she does move to Vancouver, and it helps us out because we don't want to go and buy these things if we don't have to. Also the rug will be nice on the cold winter mornings-so we don't have to step out of bed onto a cold tile floor.
However, while things are going so well for me, and I am excited about school starting in a week and a half-my heart goes out to many across the nation. Specifically the countless thousands who are being thrashed by the hurricane in Louisianna, and a few of my co-workers who don't know Christ, but need his peace in this time of craziness (just things in thier own lives-not the hurricane in the south), and a dear friend of mine-Juana whose family is having a difficult time with recent severe injuries to a cousin of Juana's. All I can do in this time of watching so much hurt and pain and struggle going on throughout the world/but also right here in our own country is to pray. That is all that is keeping me going right now. I find comfort in my daily devotionals, and knowing that no matter what may happen to me or to those I know and care about, Christ has taken care of our ultimate future. HE WILL NOT FORSAKE US! We simply have to make the choice to follow him and to trust him. So I leave you now with this question, have you made that choice? If not I would reccommend if nothing else at least looking into it, and hopefully you will choose to follow Christ.
Blessings and peace of Christ be with you all in this time of chaos.
